A RollApp operator is a key participant in the Dymension ecosystem who manages and maintains the infrastructure necessary for a RollApp to function effectively. RollApp operators play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and performance of individual RollApps within the broader Dymension network and has the opportunity to earn financial rewards for their contributions.

This section is crucial for those who want to actively participate in the network by operating RollApp services, regardless of whether they created the RollApp or not.

Key Components​

  1. Setting up the Environment: Before operating any RollApp services, set up your environment by installing necessary dependencies and the Roller CLI tool.

  2. Sequencer: Learn how to run a sequencer to the Rollapp of your choice and earn Rollapp block rewards.

  3. Full Node: Learn how to run a full node and provide security and accessibility to the RollApp.

  4. Relayer: Learn to set up and run a relayer, facilitating token transfers between Dymension and RollApps. Currently, only sequencers are eligible to run a relayers.

  5. eIBC Client: Learn how to operate an eIBC client to fulfill user withdrawal requests from RollApps and earn fees.
