Preparing a proposal

The degree to which you engage with the Dymension community should be relative to the potential impact that your proposal may have on the stakeholders. Post your idea to the Dymension Forum and discuss with the Dymocracy. Provided below is a standard template that can help expediate drafting a proposal.

[Prop Draft] Proposal Title
Changelog

{date}: {changelog} Authors and Credit {Name}: {link e.g., github, discord, twitter}

Status

{DRAFT | PROPOSED}

Use DRAFT if the Governance Proposal is in a draft stage (i.e. in discussion) or PROPOSED if it's in review (i.e. proposal is onchain).

Proposal

A short (~200 word) description of the governance proposal being considered.

Governance Votes

The following items summarize the voting options and what it means for this proposal:

  • YES
  • NO
  • NO WITH VETO - A ‘NoWithVeto’ vote indicates a proposal either (1) is deemed to be spam, i.e., irrelevant to Dymension, (2) disproportionately infringes on minority interests, or (3) violates or encourages violation of the rules of engagement as currently set out by Dymension governance. If the number of ‘NoWithVeto’ votes is greater than a third of total votes, the proposal is rejected and the deposits are burned.
  • ABSTAIN - You wish to contribute to quorum but you formally decline to vote either for or against the proposal.
